Decorative Carving adds magic to any piece of furniture! Join Ouida Vincent on ZOOM to learn about her process of applying 17th century decorative carving to panels used in furniture. Ouida will talk about design and layout, using gouges, and the application of these methods in functional ware.

* you will not be making along with Ouida, this is just a demo.

About Ouida:

"I took my first woodworking and small engine repair class in Jr High and was one of only two women on the class. When I moved to Gallup, my realtor gently suggested that I take a class when she saw an example of my work. An adult education class was available at my local University of New Mexico branch and I enrolled. I tend to make things for myself. Square (or not so square) boxy things. Because I am a hobby wood worker, I am free to pursue Other interests like 17th century carving, which for some reason, has taken hold of me and won’t let go. "

Pricing Transparency: Ouida is generously donating her time for her first demo so we are also donating ours and 100% of the proceeds will go to our scholarship fund. This fund is available to anyone in financial need or anyone that requests reparations pricing, no questions asked. Just email us and we will register you for the class of your liking:)
