About Ouida:
"I took my first woodworking and small engine repair class in Jr High and was one of only two women in the class. When I moved to Gallup, my realtor gently suggested that I take a class when she saw an example of my work. An adult education class was available at my local University of New Mexico branch and I enrolled. I tend to make things for myself. Square (or not so square) boxy things. Because I am a hobby wood worker, I am free to pursue Other interests like 17th century carving, which for some reason, has taken hold of me and won’t let go.
