**Changed to open to public
We are so excited this year to partner with CempazĂșchitl Collective to build out their medic bus that will support Line 3 Water Protectors. During this one day skillshare we will be installing a linoleum floor, a sink, and making beds that will also serve as benches.
Attendees will be split into groups with a team lead instructor from Fireweed who will be sharing the skills to build! Depending on which team you join you will become familiar with the circular saw, drills, miter saw, basic joinery, and more!
Each year we offer a free skill building get together for our members (except last year due to covid) that supports something cool in the state of Minnesota...our first year being building an outhouse for a queer run campsite in central Minnesota.
We are extremely happy to partner with CempazĂșchitl Collective, skillshares and discussions led by TWIG BIPOC folks on many topics (herbalism, tree climbing, protest medic trainings, and WOODWORKING)! Keep an eye on what they're up to: https://www.instagram.com/cempazuchitlcollective/
Due to the rise of covid cases we are limiting this event to 15 participants. It will be a first come first serve sign up. Please bring a mask, water, and something for lunch. All tools will be provided but if you want to bring your own gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs that is welcomed!
