Fireweed carvers Bozena and Jessie are hosting another installment of carving in the park...

Come by any time between 4:00 & 6:30pm!

Bring your own hand-carving project to the park for some company, autumnal recreating, and sharing tips and tricks. This is NOT A CLASS, just a community hangout.

This is a FREE event, open to all. If you like/are able to contribute to the shop and our new physical space endeavors, we have some different donation levels at registration, or you can choose "FREE!" registration and donate in any amount that you like  on paypal at Fireweedwoodshop@gmail.com, or through GiveMN  (through GiveMN you can make a tax-deductable donation). Thank you!

What to bring:

-a chair for sitting in a circle (optional, just easier to talk than sitting at the picnic tables)

-your project, tools (see blockprinting exception below). Spoon carvers, sadly we DO NOT have any blanks or tools available this time due to other classes--but you can also come to hang and see others' projects!

**woodblock printers: if you took a class with Women's Woodshop/Fireweed this year or in the past, or have some prior experience, woodblock instructor Jessie will be there with some tools and various colored inks--as well as a few blocks for sale ($5 each, available as a registration add-on or venmo/paypal/cash at the event). Bring your own paper/cards/fabric etc for printing or use Jessie's scraps (printmaking quality greeting card and envelopes available as registration add-on as well, may have more available to buy at the event too). Email jessiemerriam@gmail.com with questions.
